Selenamra Twenty year-old Selena Ulch of Sparks, Nevada will hold the coveted position of Miss Rodeo America 2005.  Selena carried the Miss Rodeo Nevada title to the Miss Rodeo America Pageant, which began November 28, 2004.  She is currently attending Truckee Meadows Community College, pursuing an Associates of Science degree.  Upon graduation, she will transfer to the University of Nevada, Reno where she plans to obtain degrees in Biochemistry and Spanish, and then attend school in Las Vegas.  In the future Selena hopes to own and operate her own Orthodontia Practice.

When time allows, Selena enjoys dancing, aerobics, camping, choreography, community service, cowboy poetry, drawing, fishing, forestry, gold mining, riding snowmobiles, running, sailing, scrapbooking, target shooting, trail riding and training and showing American Quarter Horses.

"When I see old glory make her grand entry, whether on horseback, from the sky above or carried by our nation's service men, I know why I want to be Miss Rodeo America.  The very spirit of her presence embraces each individual promoting patriotism, family values, and pride in the living history of our Western heritage.  This same spirit I received growing up on my family's ranch.  As Miss Rodeo Nevada, I have had the opportunity to share my western convictions and educate others not only about rodeo's past and present, but also her promising future.  Professional rodeo gave new hope to a once endangered lifestyle.  As Miss Rodeo America, I will ensure the solid foundation rodeo was built upon has a voice of strength, knowledge and dedication.  The official "Rodeo State" would serve as an excellent place for Miss Rodeo America to call home."
